Cranfield Space Program

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 June 2026

The Cranfield Space Program (“we”, “us”) is a small, not-for-profit app run by and for residents of the Rectory Gardens estate in Cranfield (Harlequin Lane and Chantilly Corner). It shows bin collection days and lets neighbours share spare space in their bins. This policy explains what personal data we handle and why.

We are the data controller for this app. For any privacy question or request, contact michael@workdesk.pro.

What we collect

How we use it

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it for any purpose unrelated to running this app.

Legal basis (UK GDPR)

We process your data on the basis of your consent (you choose to sign in and post offers) and our legitimate interest in running a small community service for residents. You can withdraw consent at any time by asking us to delete your account.

Who can see your information

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in, plus a short-lived cookie to process an invite link. We do not use analytics or advertising/tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. If you leave the estate or ask us to remove your account, we delete your personal data. Old bin-space offers are transient and naturally fall out of view after their collection date.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or to restrict or object to how we use it. Email michael@workdesk.pro and we’ll action it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

This app is intended for adult residents and is not directed at children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll update the date above when we do.
